HERstory Makers is all about inspiring the next generation and giving outstanding female-identifying role models a stage to thrive on. Early-career researchers have three minutes to pitch their research and themselves in a digital format to make their research accessible to everyone. Who will be crowned the next HERstory Maker Champion? You decide!
All HERstory Makers participants will be showcased online as part of EXPLORATHON, Scotland’s contribution to European Researchers’ Night on Twitter and Facebook (@ernscot). The Scottish entries will be shared on 7 September (winner announced on the 15 September) and the International entries on 15 September (winner announced on the 22 September). If you are a teacher or run a youth or community group and like access to the videos in advance of their general release, please email Kirsty Ross for access.
World Record: Strawberry DNA
Have you ever isolated DNA? No? Then it is high time! It is very simple and can be easily done from at home or in your school class. We would like to find as many people as possible to take part in this activity all over Europe. Of course there is to win something: we raffle book vouchers, games and also a EUR 200,- voucher for the Therme Loipersdorf (Styria) where you will have lots of fun with your family or friends.
Please go to Life is Science world record strawberry DNA to find out how to take part
So let’s start and be part of the Life is Science world record attempt!
