If you’re a researcher involved in anything out in nature, (be that plants, animals, or conservation) you’ll have a whale of a time in our BioBlitz opportunity. In this citizen science project, we will be asking members of the public to snap pictures of any plants or animals they see in their local area and upload them to the iNaturalist app. Experts/Reseachers will then identify them and we will get to see the diversity of nature across Europe
If you’re either a composition student or a researcher, this opportunity will help you blow your trumpet. In this project, we will collect overviews of areas of specialism from researchers, and composition students will get the opportunity to choose who’s research speaks to them. Once matched, the researcher and composer will connect, and the composer will create a 5-minute piece inspired by the area of research. These will be premiered in either a virtual or local live concert.
European Research Showcase
This opportunity is for all researchers – whether you research Mars as a God or a planet or a food. For this opportunity, researchers will create a short snappy 2-minute video about their research, which will be posted over a 48-hour period over twitter. Full technical support and training is part of the package.
This opportunity has limited spaces, so if you’re interested sign up now!
Deadline for submitting your video is the 13th September
Do you have an idea for an activity you would like to be part of INTERSECTIONS? This can be pan-Europe or local. Let us know your thoughts and ideas and we can discuss next steps: email@example.com
